Needs Assessment: Increasing International Students Engagement in On-Campus Social Events
The project focused on identifying areas where international students at Indiana University lacked participation in social events happening on campus. The overarching aim was to boost student engagement, leading to more meaningful and positive social experiences as well as enhanced learning during their time studying in the United States.
To gather data, my team and I performed literature reviews, conducted interviews, and administered surveys. We then utilized a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to evaluate the university's internal strengths and weaknesses related to this issue, as well as opportunities for improvement and external factors that could impede success. After completing data collection and analysis, we presented nine key findings and five recommendations.
Evaluation for Pre-student Teaching Prep Canvas Courses
This evaluation project had two main objectives. Firstly, it aimed to assess the overall satisfaction level of pre-service teachers with the online format of the Pre-Student Teaching Preparation Course on Canvas. Secondly, it sought to measure the learning gains achieved by these pre-service teachers upon completing the course, specifically how helpful the course was in preparing them for student teaching. The evaluation focused on examining the design elements, content, learning outcomes, and format of the course.
To gather data, my team and I conducted an online survey and interviews with three pre-service teachers and two supervising instructors. After collecting and analyzing the data, we presented eight key findings and five recommendations.
Burger Menu for The Den by Denny's Employee Training
This booklet is designed for new employees at the fast food store who are unfamiliar with food preparation, including the names, amounts, and order of ingredients.
To provide a clear visual representation, I drew all the ingredients in an engraving style to depict them vividly. Additionally, I included the ingredient images on the contents page, allowing staff to easily recognize the burgers and quickly reference the steps for assembling them.
For the final product, I laminated every page, making it reusable and easy to clean.
Job Aid for Resume Writing
This job aid is created for individuals who are new to the process of writing a resume. It provides guidance on the essential components, layout and formatting, as well as common mistakes to avoid when crafting a resume. Additionally, users can scan a QR code to access a sample resume for reference.
To develop this job aid, I gathered relevant information, selected an accordion fold brochure as the final product format, and completed the graphic design work to present the content in an engaging and user-friendly manner.
